Canada eh! A land full of incredible nature, massive wildlife, and still rich in culture but mostly snow and ice from what I have experienced the last few weeks. Definitely will come back someday when there is more green than white colors. Very happy that spontaneous decisions got me in this country with Northern Lights as big highlight.
Pretty spontaneously ended up in the USA to join a skiing road-trip up to Canada for a couple of weeks. Even in this short period I gained enough reasons for a larger road trip through the whole country!
Traveling back into Mexico to work my way up to Cancun for a cheap flight out to the US. Traveling through Yucatan is pretty easy, well organised bus connections, everybody speaks English and more than enough tourists to get recommendations from.
Go slow G. While traveling from Guatemala back to Mexico, I figured why not stop in Belize for a couple of days. I only went to Caye Caulker where I found myself swiming with some sharks, say whaaat.
Spanish lessons, a home-stay for three weeks and hiking as much volcanoes as possible. This country is all around pretty damn awesome, no clue where to go for your next holiday? Guatemala.
My next destination was Guatemala, however, the cheapest flight was via Mexico-City, so why not stay there for a while? Turns out the be a great diverse city.
Hiking, hiking, hiking is what I liked best in Peru. The nature is breathtaking, with Machu Picchu, the Huayhuash and condor spotting as absolute highlights.
Swinging in Colombia with the most open, expressive and fun people I met so far.
Actually part of Panama, but it deserves its own reference. An amazing sailing trip through the 368 paradise-like islands of San Blas.
The first country, Panama, for the cheap flight and the possibility to do a sailing trip to Colombia. Looking back I should have explored more of the country as it has much more to offer than the not so great city of Panama.
